BASIC SCUBA DIVER
Basic Scuba Diver certification permits a person to engage in recreational open water diving, under the direct control of a Divemaster/Assistant/Instructor (maximum ratio 1:1), at the maximum depth of 12 metres. Within two years an IDEA instructor can complete training of a student, certifying him as an Open Water Diver.

OPEN WATER DIVER
The Open Water Diver course is the first certification that qualifies a diver to procure air, equipment, and other services and engage in recreational open water diving without supervision. There are six lessons, six dives in confined water and four dives in open water. Upon completion the student will be certified to dive in open water, with an other diver, at the maximum depth of 18 metres. Minimum age for admission in 15 years.
